“For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” — Colossians 3:3 (NIV)
Read those first three words slowly: for you died. Not “you should die to yourself daily by trying harder.” You died. Past tense. It already happened. And then the verse tells you where your real life is right now — hidden with Christ in God.
Think about what that means for the person who’s exhausted by their own inconsistency. Your life — your true identity, your acceptance, your standing — is not out here where your performance rises and falls. It’s hidden with Christ, in God. Two layers deep in the safest place in the universe. Your bad week can’t reach it. Your worst moment can’t dig it up. The enemy himself can’t touch it.
You know why change feels so fragile when you’re doing it in your own strength? Because you’re trying to build an identity out here in the open, where every failure knocks it down. But your identity was never out here. It’s seated with Christ, secure, finished, kept. Live from that safe place today, not toward it.
Declaration: I died, and my real life is hidden with Christ in God — untouchable, secure, kept.
